About Us
At Empathetic Counseling and Consulting Services (ECCS), we believe that healing begins with compassion. Founded and led by CEO Lachelle Pittman and supported by CFO Shundra Wooden, LCSW, ECCS is a Black-owned, woman-led mental health agency dedicated to breaking down barriers to care and serving communities that have historically been underserved.
Our mission is simple but powerful: to provide person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive support for individuals and families navigating mental health challenges. Whether someone is in the middle of a crisis or seeking ongoing therapy, ECCS is here to meet them with empathy, respect, and guidance toward stability and recovery.
We currently offer Community Stabilization services to bridge the gap between crisis and long-term care, outpatient therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, and are preparing to launch our Mobile Crisis Response program in 2026. Every service we provide is rooted in the belief that mental health care is a human right—and that every individual deserves timely, effective, and compassionate support.
